MOS had the pleasure of working with a household name in Newry. On this occasion the project involved providing furniture for a private office at the top of the building that was also to be used as a boardroom. A site visit allowed us to survey the space and ascertain what would be possible - in terms of both size and the style that would suit the room.
As is always the case with a successful job, the client was clear from the beginning on what they required and the kind of 'look' they wanted to achieve. A modern and stylish theme but keeping some traditional and high-end specifications was achieved through a mix of bright colours for chairs and soft furnishings and a more traditional dark walnut finish for the wooden furniture.
The beautiful executive desk with a built in, step-down return, is also height adjustable which is in keeping with health and safty guidance for people who work long hours at their desk. This was complemented by open-shelf bookcases to match the colour scheme, and a stunning light blue melange executive chair. The boardroom table which was to seat 14 was 36mm thick, 4m long in dark walnut and was modernised both by the unusual metallic steel leg design at each end, and the two-tone chairs dotted around it.
The room was set off by bespoke, modular seating in a mix of dark grey, light grey and burnt orange melange which added a brightness that contrasted beautifully with the dark wood of the furniture. This seating gives the room an area for relaxation, discussion, brainstorming and general levity which can be much needed throughout a work day.Back
